Dr. Nicole Douglas is a licensed Clinical Psychologist committed to helping individuals and families thrive. She believes that a strong, supportive relationship between therapist and client is the foundation for healing and personal growth. Her goal is to work collaboratively alongside you, providing the insights and tools needed to reach your full potential.
Her approach to therapy is integrative, combining evidenced-based techniques with a client-centered philosophy to tailor to your unique needs. She utilizes multiple treatment approaches (developmental, interpersonal, multicultural, emotion-focused) in a non-judgmental, strengths-based way to help you feel empowered to create meaningful change in your life.
Her practice is deeply rooted in trauma-informed care and attachment-based approaches, with a specific focus on improving communication skills and building healthy, lasting relationships. Dr. Douglas is particularly passionate about her work with children and families involved in foster and kinship placements. By utilizing the ARC framework, she helps these families navigate the complexities of placement and connection with resilience, stability, and compassion.
Dr. Douglas earned dual undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Communication Studies from Alfred University, followed by her Master's and Doctorate (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from William James College in Newton, Massachusetts.
She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Vanguard Associates, where she served as an outpatient therapist in the behavioral health department and consulting psychologist within integrated pediatric and internal medicine departments. With additional experience working in school systems, community health centers, and specialized trauma clinics, Dr. Douglas brings a wealth of knowlede to a diverse variety of clinicial situations.
